NXNE’s Film Festival is an annual convergence of the most compelling music-related features, documentaries, and shorts from around the world. NXNE presents world premieres and hosts galas, and brings big-time directors (like 05’s Stewart Copeland and Guy Maddin, and 07’s Don Letts) to Toronto to intro their films and try to hang with the music folks.

Over the next few weeks (May 25 till NXNE begins), anyone watching a film at the HQ of our official 09 Film Fest partners, the National Film Board Mediatheque at 150 John St., will get a taste of what’s to come at the NXNE Film Fest June 17-21. Look for the NXNE trailer with highlights from some of 09’s great films running before your regularly scheduled film–and be sure to pick up a Film Fest or all-purpose 5-day wristband in the NFB lobby!
