The Coathangers @ the Reverb, Friday June 19
Sure, I was biking between King Khan’s “special guest” slot at Lee’s and Team Robespierre at Sneaky Dee’s, soaking up the cusp-of-solstice street vibe: noisy queues at the hot-dog vendor, tipsy girls sharing a cigarette on the steps, taxis hissing by on the damp asphalt – everything we love about almost-summer in Toronto and NXNE spilling into the streets… but damn, I wish I’d caught the Coathangers.
