Drumroll please… Well, you probably already know the news by now, but yes. We have a winner.
Big congratulations go out to Metric for taking home the NXNE Favourite New Indie Release at this year’s CASBY Awards. We’ve had Synthetica on repeat since we saw them kick off NXNE by rocking Sugar Beach, rain and all. To take home the prize, they beat out worthy competition in the form of Monster Truck, Japandroids, Yukon Blonde, and The Pack A.D. Thanks to everyone that voted. And Metric? Well deserved – we’re just sorry you couldn’t be at the Sound Academy to claim it yourselves. (But don’t worry. We’re sure Bookie will keep the trophy nice and warm for you.)
