It’s all smoke and mirrors with these “lovers from Monté Carlo, Monaco, raised in a cave of gold.” They surfaced early this year in an “explosion of glitter” from a “three-day threesome, binge of wine, fish and recording” and their quirky self-titled debut album was quick to garner them huge amounts of tastemaker coverage online. When we caught them live a few months back they were head to toe in body paint, hand-delivering hamburgers to the crowd and making a gargantuan, chopped and screwed synth-pop racket.
