The Canadian music industry is paying their respects to Sam “the Record Man” Sniderman. He passed away today at the age of 92. NXNE founder Michael Hollett remembers the man and his legacy.
I remember heading downtown from my pre-teen home in Flemingdon Park, clutching hard earned cash and being greeted by the man himself as I headed into Sam’s. He seemed as excited as I was about the treasures I would find there.
Rest in Peace, Sam. Thanks for lighting up Yonge Street for so many years.
