Formed in 2008, the Brooklyn avant-pop duo combine Moroder-style disco, minimal house and post-punk’s frenetic spirit with the same carefree verve as James Murphy’s LCD Soundsystem project. It’s a spewed, mutant R&B held together by Jason Friedman’s production – mainly deep, deep kicks and tight as hell basslines – and the ghostly, ice-cool vocals of Eleanore Everdell.
