Lots more NXNE Club Land shows have gone on-sale this week including A-WA, three sisters whose roots are in Yemen and who merge that country’s folk traditions with electronic dance music. A-WA plays the Mod Club Sunday, June 19 in Toronto.

Tair, Liron and Tagel Haim grew up in the small village of Shaharut in southern Israel near the Egyptian border. Their home was filled with musical influences from traditional music, to soul, hip hop, reggae prog rock and more. They’ve been touring non-stop for more than two years mostly in Europe and the Middle East.

They’ve also spread the word about their amazing music through social media especially You Tube and Facebook. Check them out there until you can see them in Toronto this summer.
