We are proud to have the following record dealers and labels showcasing their wares at the event. All will have crates of records for browsing and purchase, and will be more than happy to talk to you on the wonders of the vinyl medium. Here’s some information on them:

Alleycats Music & Arts: We’re very happy to say Orilla’s newest – and best – record store has taken the short trip into Toronto, and we’re sure they won’t leave their great selection of vinyl stock behind.

Anglo-American 1-Stop: Rare Soul auction site with both bidding and set-sale, based out of Yorkshire, England. Expect northern, Canadian deep & modern soul, mod, R&B, funk, Motown and blues.

Annex Record Wicket: The Annex Record Wicket is a small independent record store that currently functions out of a mysterious old antiques shop, and only on Saturdays from 1pm. More community resource than record store, The Wicket aims to enlighten a broader audience about the benefits of vinyl and the lasting effects of an album experience.

Arts & Crafts: A Toronto-based independent artist services company, offering expertise as an independent record label, management firm, merchandiser and music publisher both in Canada and internationally. Launched in 2002 with the release of Broken Social Scene’s critically acclaimed album You Forgot It in People, Arts & Crafts has released more than 50 albums from 30 artists, earning 15 JUNO Awards along the way. Arts & Crafts is regularly touted as one of Canada’s most important record labels.

Bay-Bloor Radio: Hugely notable Toronto audio equipment retailer, built on “founding principles of honesty, integrity and fairness”. Will be hosting a table with free demonstrations of their merchandise.

Henry’s Records: Scarborough’s specialist in West Indian music. Expect reggae, ska, blue beat, soca, soul, funk and disco and over 30 years of business experience.

Hits And Misses Records: Toronto Bloor West vinyl store concentrating on punk, rock, pop and everything else with attitude.

Joseph’s Audio Collectibles: SACD, DVD-Audio, Audiophile Discs, Music Hardware. Joseph’s THE man to talk to about speakers, receiver and turntable when you’re putting together a decent stereo set-up. All pieces vintage, tested and guaranteed.

Kops Records: Kops Records is the oldest independent music store in Toronto, founded in 1976. Kops specializes in vinyl records and has the largest selection of 7″ 45rpm records in Canada. The shop is conveniently located west of the University subway line on Toronto’s downtown Queen Street strip. The abundant isles and walls of vinyl on both floors are an attraction to both tourists and local music enthusiasts.

Mariposa Folk Festival: Mariposa is renowned for a wide range of folk/roots artists, with 100+ performances of every kind on 9 stages including music, dance and spoken word. There’s also an Artisans’ Village, Folkplay for Kids, Audience Camping, a Music and Collectibles Emporium, a Diverse Range of Quality Foods, a Pub Tent and Hand’s On Learning Experiences. Of A Kind: Alongside some fine vintage clothing, Of A Kind have a fantastic curated vinyl record selection which carries both new releases, oldies and a diamond-in-the-rough haggle bin.

The Orillia Beatles Celebration: Setting up alongside the Mariposa Folk Festival will be a collection of Fab Four vinyl and memorabilia.

Vinyl Alibi: An independent record store located in Ontario, Canada dealing in new and vintage vinyl. Alongside these, they offer turntable sales/service, stylus and cartridge replacement, record accessories such as cleaning brushes and protective sleeves.
