Disaster Pony is a new Toronto-based jazz/EDM band led by saxophonist Gordon Hyland, with a debut album co-produced by Ian Docherty (July Talk) and Adam Hindle (formerly of Born Ruffians). Striving to create a danceable sax record, inspiration was drawn from artists such as Amon Tobin, Bonobo and The Herbalist - specifically their use of hip-hop, downtempo and jazz samples within an electronic framework.
