As Canada’s UNESCO City of Music, London has earned an international reputation for cultivating world-class talent, iconic venues, and celebrated festivals that continue to shape the Canadian music landscape.
This year, tourism London took over the Horseshoe Tavern on Saturday, June 13 for a night celebrating one of Canada’s most vibrant music communities.

NXNE SPOTLIGHT CITY 2026
NXNE ARTIST HOUSE
The Creative Hub of NXNE
New for 2026, the NXNE ARTIST HOUSE was the festival’s dedicated artist hub — a welcoming place for musicians, delegates, and creators to connect, recharge, and build community throughout NXNE week.
Located at 192 Spadina Avenue in the heart of Toronto’s live music scene, ARTIST HOUSE was the place for artists to register, pick up their souvenir tote bags, enjoy low-key music programming, and spend time networking with fellow musicians, industry professionals, and new collaborators.
Open daily from 10 AM – 7 PM, Wednesday through Saturday, the space was designed to encourage conversation, creativity, friendships, and future collaborations in a relaxed environment.
ARTIST HOUSE also featured a dedicated NXNE 2026 step-and-repeat media wall, giving artists, delegates, and attendees the perfect place to capture and share their NXNE memories.
Free beverages and snacks were provided courtesy of 7-Eleven, Propeller Coffee, Paradise Grapevine, and Collective Arts.
SOUNDSTAGE @ W TORONTO
NXNE’s New Premium Venue Experience
New to NXNE 2026, SOUNDSTAGE is one of Toronto’s most exciting new live music and event spaces — an elevated open-concept venue located on the 6th floor of the iconic W Toronto in the heart of Yorkville.
Launched by ArtsHouse Media Group, and blending live music, nightlife, culture, and creative energy, SOUNDSTAGE hosted exclusive NXNE showcases, artist performances, industry events, parties, and special experiences throughout festival week. Designed with premium production and an intimate modern atmosphere, the venue offers fans and artists a unique way to experience NXNE in one of the city’s most stylish settings.
Anchored by Billboard Canada and Rolling Stone Canada – two of the most trusted and influential voices in global music and culture, SOUNDSTAGE brings together music discovery, media, and unforgettable live experiences — making it one of the must-visit destinations of NXNE 2026.
LONG & McQUADE DAY PARTY
Long & McQuade Flagship Store • 925 Bloor St W
NXNE and Long & McQuade hosted an afternoon of live music, community, and summer festival energy at the Long & McQuade Day Party on Saturday, June 13 from 12 PM – 5 PM.
Part customer appreciation day and part neighbourhood street festival, this free outdoor event transformed the area into a lively celebration featuring five emerging NXNE artists performing 30-minute live sets throughout the afternoon. Guests enjoyed free hot dogs, discovered incredible new music, and experienced the vibrant atmosphere that makes NXNE one of Toronto’s favourite festival traditions.
As NXNE’s valued backline sponsor, Long & McQuade helps power live performances across the festival — and this special event was a chance to celebrate music fans, local community, and emerging artists together in the heart of the city.

Two Iconic Canadian Entertainment Staples Now In Partnership
North by Northeast (NXNE) is pleased to announce a major new music programming partnership with the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) to deliver an extraordinary lineup of both established headliners and breakthrough emerging artists across some of the CNE's iconic stages, including a new dedicated NXNE Stage that will be located west of the Food Building during the 18-day fair from August 21 - September 7, 2026.

This year, we’re giving fans the chance to vote for their favourite NXNE artist who they think should perform at the 2026 CNE. The CNE runs from August 21 to September 7, 2026 – make sure to cast your votes during NXNE and you could help someone get on that stage!
