DOG ASS MUSIC. Heavy, sweaty, sludge. The calling card of Ivy Gardens since their genesis in 2020. Named after the small town street of their rehearsal space in Beamsville, Ontario, Ivy Gardens has performed across their home province, Quebec and the east coast of Canada. Dedicated to bringing the highest energy, most honest songwriting, and the heaviest, pummeling riffs imaginable to captive audiences across the country. Andrew Blackborow’s wall of guitar sludge is supported atop Joe Zandwyk’s battered and beaten-to-hell drums, as Sebastian Hogg’s throbbing bass synth and searing organ sounds swirl around them. For the past three years they have honed their sound, their live show, as well as produced and recorded all of their material as a self-sufficient unit.
Based in Niagara, Ontario, the group is utterly devoted to bringing its signature blend of punk, doom, grunge and pure unfiltered energy to unsuspecting audiences wherever they may be. Over the course of 2024, Ivy is planning another extensive tour of eastern Canada, in support of their second EP “Goon”, due to release on 4/20/2024.
