Loryn Taggart
THURSDAY, JUNE 13 @ FREE TIMES CAFE, 11PM
Hungarian-Canadian singer-songwriter Loryn Taggart, known for her genre-defying style, gained industry recognition even before her debut album. Leaving home at 16 to pursue her musical dream in Toronto, she performed in various venues and received nominations from Canadian Folk Music Awards and Independent Music Awards. In 2021, she landed the role of David Bowie in an international tribute tour, making history as one of the first female musicians to perform Bowie's 'The Berlin Trilogy' era songs. After the loss of her father, she created her debut album, 'The Lost Art of Pulling Through,' which charted at #11 on the CBC Music Top 20.
