SWiiMS was formed during the summer prior to the COVID-19 pandemic after Mai Diaz Langou and Colin Thompson connected through, of all things, a local Craigslist Musicians Wanted ad. Both guitarists and vocalists, their chemistry was instantaneous. The addition of bassist and vocalist Cian O’Ruanaidh followed shortly thereafter and everything clicked.
Drawing inspiration from an array of heavy-hearted throwback genres like 80s New Wave, 90s Indie Rock, Britpop, and Shoegaze, the band weaves an enchanting sonic tapestry that takes hold of you and won’t let go.
