Thelonious is a Toronto born rapper recognized by his audience for his captivating lyricism and introspective storytelling. Raised by two musical parents, he was exposed in his youth to the rich and complexities of jazz, gospel and soul music which would later come to inspire his artistic style. His music combines the polished lyricism of the old school with his own nostalgic and hopeful message of pride in community similar to artists like J. Cole, Chance the Rapper & Kendrick Lamar.His most recent project, an EP entitled Albion Road Demos, received widespread critical acclaim including a spot on Complex Canada's “Best Canadian Albums of 2022”. At a young age, Thelonious has made prominent strides within Toronto's Hip Hop culture, displaying a deep reverence for his craft as a one-of-a-kind new age rap philosopher.
