Tractor Beam is the post-folk songwriting project of NYC based, Toronto Raised producer Sasha Balazic and rounded out with a rotating cast of collaborators, contributors and friends.
2023 saw Tractor Beam release their first LP Turtles All The Way Via Kingfisher Bluez (home to early Peach Pit and Winona Forever releases). The release had the band featured as one of the country's most exciting new bands in Exclaim! Magazine, CBC airplay and an 11 date national tour. Through 13 tracks and 16 different contributors Tractor Beam’s debut offers an eloquent mix of freak folk and 2000’s indie rock. From soaring cello to oscillating synths and spoken word passages the project is an honest exploration of nostalgia, coming of age and the musical influences that made Tractor Beam.
