Boniface was on top of the world when the world stopped. The acclaimed indie-pop band’s anticipated debut album, set for 2020, was overshadowed by the pandemic, leading to a canceled tour. Yet, the hiatus became a transformative period for lead singer Michele ii, who discovered her identity as a trans woman. This self-discovery revitalized the band, culminating in a triumphant return show in 2023. With a new record deal from House of Wonders Records, Boniface is poised to release a new EP in early 2025, showcasing Michele ii's artistic evolution.
